Staffordshire Dogs
A pair of black and white vintage Staffordshire dogs. These highly collectible ceramic dogs make such a statement on a mantel or bookshelf with their classic, hand-painted details.
They can be hard to date with so many reproductions available, but I believe these to be midcentury or earlier based on the pinhole, differing heights and painting style. There is wear and patina to the porcelain on both pieces. Felt feet have been added to the bases.
Measurements: (left-facing dog) 7.5 inches tall, 5.5 inches wide, 3 inches depth; (right-facing dog) 7.25 inches tall, 5.25 inches wide, 3 inches depth
